 We were not induced to rig presidential election, INEC officials tell court. While Ayuba gave his evidence as the 17th Petitioners’ witness, Haruna testified as the 18th witness. Led in evidence by lead counsel for the petitioners, Chief Chris Uche, SAN, the duo, who were subpoenaed to appear as witnesses, adopted written statements they deposed on oath before the court. The PW-17, Ayuba, told the court that she served as a Presiding Officer in Garki, Abuja, during the presidential election that held on February 25. She told the court that the electoral process went smoothly, until it got to the time that she wanted to upload the result of the election to INEC’s I-Rev portal using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, device. According to the witness, every effort she made to electronically transmit the results as she was trained to do by the Commission, failed. Ray Copeland, who was born in Oklahoma, started his crime by forging checks to buy livestock, which he quickly sold off before the seller detected the fraud. His scheme was quickly busted, landing him in jail. After serving his jail term, he came up with the idea of hiring homeless people, who used his fake checks to buy livestock for him. Not long after, the crimes were traced back to him as the homeless men identified him when they were caught. He then came up with the plan of leaving no trace that could link him to the crimes; the couple killed every homeless person they dealt with. Once someone used the fake check to make a purchase, they would kill him and bury him in a shallow grave in their farm house. In 1959, 69 black adolescents (ages 13 to 17) were locked inside a dormitory at the Industrial School for Negro Boys in Wrightsville.
